​Since childhood I've always felt at home in nature. Whether it was catching grasshoppers in the backyard with my bare hands, or on my family's annual camping trips, the outdoors has always been my sanctuary.
I have a diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care from Vancouver Island University, and am a licensed Early Childhood, Infant/Toddler, and Special Needs Educator. I've also been a volunteer with Girl Guides of Canada for over a decade; working with youth of various ages.  
Outside of work you can find me tending my gardens, reading a good book, or hiking in the backcountry with my husband and two dogs. ​
